My time working as a graphic designer in the public health sector connected me with many brilliant people in the healthcare field.  During this period, I met Dr. Arnold F. Kim, founder of the Aurora Constellations Research and Innovation Group.  Their software aims to transform electronic healthcare record systems into a robust design space, efficiently facilitating complex healthcare planning for practitioners.
I am currently working to improve Aurora's user interface, develop the brand, and create promotional materials to prepare the team for the launch phase in 2025.  Aurora is a complex project in need of clear and concise communication to captivate healthcare professionals and investors.  The team deserves a website that conveys the passion, enthusiasm, and humanity behind this project.

My goal was to capture the warmth of freshly baked cookies and the inviting aroma of baked spices. To complement the organic ingredients, I maintained some of the natural, earthy aesthetic of the cardboard packaging. For a touch of elegance and transparency, I incorporated bakery-style packaging with a window, allowing the quality of each delicious cookie to speak for itself.

What started as a novelty accessory treasure cove has been evolving into a meaningful initiative. Quirky Co., in conjunction with The Boreal Museum, provides a space for kids and families to unleash their imaginations while exploring the wondrous world of science. Giant T-Rex statue? They got it. A shark-shaped purse? Yup. A whimsical mushroom forest? Of course! They even have a mini vintage arcade!
The owner was excited to learn that I am an artist and asked me to create a mural for them. Before committing to a storefront mural, I developed a brand identity for Quirky Co. The environment itself was inspiring, evoking feelings of childhood nostalgia. In this generation, the world of whimsy is conventionally accessed through screens. I want to inspire kids to step away from screens and bring the fun of games to life!

Mental wellness is more important than ever. While mental health is often framed as an individual responsibility, we know that human nature thrives in community. There is a growing need for spaces that foster connection, collective support, and well-being.
Calmunity is an app designed to bring people together around community wellness initiatives.  The logo features connected lettering, emphasizing "unity".  The color palette incorporates soothing sky blue, symbolizing the sky that unites us all—reinforcing a sense of peace and togetherness.

Workman Arts NWO is a non-profit dedicated to providing art training for individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges and addiction. I designed their annual seasonal program booklets with a focus on simplicity and accessibility, ensuring that the content was both engaging and easy to navigate.
The program coordinator was thrilled with the minimalist, low-stimulation yet eye-catching designs and valued my insights on enhancing accessibility in the programming. To better understand the community, I attended several classes, immersing myself in the participants' experiences.

"Wear It Like a Pro." Campaign
The injury prevention team approached me with concerns about the number of young boys not wearing helmets when riding bikes or playing contact sports.  We identified that many of them avoid helmets because they perceive it as "uncool."  I found this interesting, considering the fact that the most powerful and celebrated sports idols are fully geared up when on the field.  I developed this campaign to remind them to look to their sports idols in this regard. The campaign was well received by the test group.
"Safer Cannabis Use" Campaign
After cannabis was legalized in Canada, the Health Promotions team approached me to create a campaign promoting safe cannabis use.  As society entered the era of legalization, this campaign targeted students over the age of 18, with the goal of encouraging responsible attitudes.  One challenge in creating content about cannabis in Canada is the legal restriction on displaying images of consumable cannabis in public spaces.
To circumvent this, I used beloved animals to create storytelling images that would invite viewers to pause and engage with the messages.  The theme of these posters was designed as a campaign concept that could be expanded.  These posters and digital displays were exhibited at bus terminals, bars, restaurants, and post-secondary institutions.
Flu Shot Social Media Posts Campaign
This campaign aims to educate parents on the benefits of getting the flu shot for themselves and their children.  While reviewing existing flu shot ads online, I noticed several focused on needles, which many people of all ages feel afraid of.  These posts I created use friendly imagery of childhood and family life, in order to make the flu shot feel less intimidating.
